Jarvis Johnson hails from Miami, the "Sunshine State" of Florida where growing up like many others are faced with daily challenges. Johnson used each challenege as positive fuel and motivation, by putting energy into his upbringings, academics and his involvement with youth sports.
For Johnson, excelling in the classroom, and on the football field, provided an opportunity for him to be recruited by many colleges and universities. Rutgers University, one of the top universities known for prestige, academics, and athletics would be the catalyst for Johnson’s journey as a student-athlete. Johnson obtained his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Administration of Justice from RU. On the field, Johnson earned numerous recognitions and accolades that culminated with Johnson playing professionally in the N.F.L for the Baltimore Ravens.
Johnson felt it was his responsibility and one of his goals to educate and connect students with the appropriate resources so that they all could learn the benefits of educational and social contexts through gaining an education and participating in sports.
After Johnson's professional football career, he was motivated to further his studies and obtain his Master of Science in Counseling from Tiffin University and a Finance Certificate from University of Miami.
